ML ELEVATOR SPEECH

ML Elevator Speech (Individual Objective Event)

Overview

This event gives members a chance to describe the benefits that FBLA has for middle level members.  It also gives members an opportunity to develop their speech writing skills.

Topic

You have been appointed as the chairperson of your chapter's March of Dimes fundraising committee. Present an elevator speech about the mission of the March of Dimes and how they help premature babies and their families.

Guidelines

1. Students must come prepared to leave at least one visual (3 copies) with the judges that they prepared (flyer, brochure, etc.) about the March of Dimes, and a business card.

2. Speech may be no longer than 30 seconds in length.

3. Judges will role-play the part of someone attending one of your March of Dimes fundraisers and can ask up to 2 questions for student response after the competitor has finished the speech.
