ML CAREER PRESENTATION

ML Career Presentation (Individual Performance Event)

 

This event allows members to combine career research with verbal presentation skills.  One of the goals of FBLA is to prepare members for the workforce.  This event begins that process through career exploration.

 

Eligibility

 

Each Middle Level chapter may enter members who are on record in the FBLA-PBL Online Membership System as having paid dues by the officially published deadline for the current school year.

 

Regional Conference Procedure

 

Members are to identify their dream career and conduct research for your presentation.  The presentation should include the following information (but can include more):

1) what type of education is needed to enter into this career

2) is this career in high demand

3) what part of the country would have the most of these types of careers

4) what is the average starting pay for this career.

 

Based on their research members will create a “Dream Career” board on a tri fold presentation board.  The board can include computer generated items, hand written items, etc.  The more creative the better.  We will NOT provide power however.  Members will have 30-minutes to set up their presentation board.  They are to return at the designated time to present their “Dream Career” to a judge. The presentation will be 10 bminutes long and will answer the four questions listed above plus provide any additional information that is relevant to the career.  

 

Chapters may enter an unlimited amount of individuals at the at the Middle Level Regional Conference.  The top three (3) winners are recognized at the Middle Level Regional Conference.

 

State Conference Procedure
